We at Mendez Family Dental have been creating and maintaining beautiful smiles by providing dentistry in Pittsburg, Kansas, and the surrounding areas of Girard, Columbus, Arma, Frontenac, West Mineral, Cherokee, Fort Scott, Joplin, Webb City, Lamar, and Carl Junction since 1993. Dr. Albert Mendez and our team are passionate about helping our patients achieve healthy, attractive smiles.
Our goal is to make your dental visits pleasant and comfortable. We realize that you are busy and that your time is very important to you, so we strive to serve you promptly. We perform all general dental procedures, including white fillings, natural-looking crowns, bridges, and dentures. Our two registered dental hygienists will help you achieve and maintain ideal gum health. We can also help you achieve a whiter smile using the latest teeth-whitening procedures. We can treat all your loved ones – from the young child to the more mature family member. We want you to enjoy your visit to our newly remodeled office. From your initial phone call to us until your care is complete, our dental team will do all we can to help you feel like a member of our family.
We have TV monitors mounted directly over the dental chair. This means that while you are lying back, you have convenient viewing of many different Cable TV stations to make your visit with Dr. Albert Mendez a more relaxed and pleasant one.
We are excited to be using the latest dental handpieces. For many years, the standard was the air-driven drill. This was a good system, but was very noisy. Electric handpieces make the dental experience faster and has the benefit of being much quieter!
The STA™ System technology utilizes computer-controlled local anesthesia delivery to enhance the injection process for both the dentist and the patient. This means the process of numbing becomes virtually pain free. Another major advantage is that individual teeth are numbed, avoiding the dreaded numb lip, tongue, and face. This means you can return to work or school and not fear biting your lip, tongue, or cheek. That means more peace of mind for you!

Very friendly knowledgeable staff. They do great work at an unbeatable price! Highly recommended.
I tell this story to anyone who asks for a recommendation for a dentist. Several years ago, while at work, one of my front teeth cracked and a piece broke off leaving a gaping hole in the front of my mouth. I called my dentist at the time and she tried to schedule me for the next week. I told her this was unacceptable. I had heard good things about Dr. Mendez and called his office. I was in his office that afternoon and the tooth was repaired. Needless to say, he is now my dentist. The entire staff at his office is so friendly and efficient. and his operation runs like clock work. If you are in need of a dentist, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Dr. Mendez for just being you.
I don't know of anyone who actually enjoys going to the dentist; however, it's different with Dr. Mendez and his staff. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by the friendly receptionist, you'll immediately feel relaxed and "at home" so to speak. My husband and I have been going there for several years now and haven't had one bad experience at all. Dr. Mendez is very thorough and his trained staff are kind & friendly with "gentle hands" when cleaning the teeth. All I can say is, keep up the good work!!!
Dr. Mendez and all his staff are amazing! My children enjoy going to the dentist since the first visit! The staff are friendly and personable and Dr. is just amazing to deal with. I will definitely be taking my 1 year old to Dr. Mendez when the time comes.
